At Paxton Tennis and Fitness Club, we have a fully equipped gym that carries a wide range of free weights and a broad range of equipment such as: bands, weighted balls, Bosu balance boards, Kettlebells, battleropes, and sandbags. We’ve expanded our weight training room to 650 square feet with power racks, benches, new dumbbells, and rowing machines. We also have a turf room where most of our strength classes are held. Try out our Keiser spin bikes which have an unlimited adjustment feature and the pneumatic technology Keiser workout equipment. We also have ellipticals, treadmills, and other calorie-burning cardio equipment.
All new members are entitled to a free consultation with one of our personal trainers about what the Paxton Tennis & Fitness Club has to offer upon completing the full-year membership sign-up process. This free orientation offer must be scheduled within the first 30 days of your new membership or it becomes invalid. This includes an introduction to the machines, equipment, pool facility, and classes. Please schedule your appointments through the front desk.
We offer a variety of fitness & swim classes to suit beginner to advanced members. All fitness & swim classes require sign up, which opens 48 hours prior to class. Our class participant numbers are limited at this time due to COVID19 safety protocols & regulations. Core Concepts w/Sarah - Mondays 7:30-8:30am
No more boring sit-ups! Imagining the core in a whole new way. We will incorporate Pilates, Barre, functional stabilization, and controlled movement in this abs focused class. By adding in glutes and arms it will make this a full-body, joint safe workout.
Zumba® Block Party w/Stacey - Mondays 5:30-6:15pm
Rock out with Stacey & get your heart pumping in this fast paced class. Modifications for all levels.
Daybreak Yoga w/Sarah - Tuesdays 8-9am
This class is a moving meditation incorporating postures, breath, balance, and stretching for the Body, Mind, & Energy.
Flex N' Sculpt w/Tina - Tuesdays, 5:30-6:30pm
This dynamic workout targets every area of your body and promotes strength & cardio endurance! With a variety of fitness tools and bodyweights this is an effective and safe workout for all levels.
Strong Body Squad w/Michele - Thursdays, 6-7pm (Begins 10/28)
Come join our squad in this 1 hour class that will torch calories and relieve stress with combination of HIIT, core, and strength training. You will alternate between HIIT training using body weight during timed intervals with core and weighted exercise to help strengthen your body, reduce stress and build confidence. All fitness levels welcome!
Fired Up w/Tina - Sundays 8-9am
Are you ready to get your heart and muscles fired up?! This class combines bursts of cardio and strength training using various fitness equipment in a circuit format to give you an effective full body workout. You will develop strength, endurance, balance, coordination, flexibility, power, and core stability. Modification provided to accommodate all fitness levels.
Surf's Up w/Wendy - Mondays & Wednesdays 10-11am
A higher intensity water workout for aerobic conditioning, muscle strength and dynamic movements in the water. This class will energize you for the rest of your day!
Silver Sneakers® SPLASH! w/Wendy - Tuesdays and Thursdays 8:15-9:15am
This is our NEW Silver Sneakers® branded & certified class! Make waves in this moderate pool workout using the resistance of the water to tone, find balance, improve cardio & keep joints safe!
Water Warriors w/Harriet - Fridays 10-11am
For the fitness enthusiast looking to challenge their balance, cardio, strength, and agility. This powerful aqua class reduces impact on joints and uses the resistance of the water for a full body workout.
Kids Fitness Classes - 8 week sessions
4S - Strength, Speed, Skill, Stretch w/Sarah(Ages 10-12)- Mondays 3:30-4:30pm
Start with the basics! This class will build a foundation for: appropriate weight-lifting, speed & agility drills, flexilbility, and games for friendly competition. Our coaches prioritize proper movement mechanics to optimize safety and efficiency for all fitness levels. This class runs for 8 weeks beginning on September 20th. Pricing is $50 for members and $130 for non members.
S.P.T.- Sport Performance Training w/Eric(Ages 13-17)- Tuesdays 4-5pm
Signing up for sports? Want to improve your strength? This class is an intermediate to advanced weight training class. Training protocols will focus on all major muscle groups in a balanced manner while addressing form, alignment, technique, and safety starting with the foundation of weight training and progressing throughout the program. This motivating class will be designed for each student's ability to gain personal improvements in a positive, supportive group training environment. This class runs for 8 weeks beginning on September 21st. Pricing is $50 for members and $130 for non members.
Sprouts! w/Sarah(Ages 3-5)- Wednesdays 10-10:45am
Children have boundless energy! Encourage their physical and social growth in this playful, active, colorful class that will develop: fine & gross motor skills, balance, coordination, perception, listening & memory building, socialization & sharing, and imagination. Using a variety of sensory materials for activities and games, we will be growing like sprouts! This class runs for 8 weeks beginning on September 22nd. Pricing is $40 for members and $120 for non members.
Speed Racers w/Melissa(Ages 6-9)- Thursdays 4-4:45pm
Let's focus on fun rather than formal exercise! This class is the perfect way to improve funtional movement through socialization and games. We will teach body awaremenss, as well as improve balance, coordination, and strength. Kids are visual learners and our trainers will use a variety of sensory activities to engage and develop their inner "speed racer"! This class runs for 8 weeks beginning on October 14th. Pricing is $40 for members and $120 for non members.
