Members of All Fitness Levels

At Paxton Tennis and Fitness Club, we have a fully equipped gym that carries a wide range of free weights and a broad range of equipment such as: bands, weighted balls, Bosu balance boards, Kettlebells, battleropes, and sandbags. We’ve expanded our weight training room to 650 square feet with power racks, benches, new dumbbells, and rowing machines.  We also have a turf room where most of our strength classes are held. Try out our Keiser spin bikes which have an unlimited adjustment feature and the pneumatic technology Keiser workout equipment. We also have ellipticals, treadmills, and other calorie-burning cardio equipment.

All new members are entitled to a free consultation with one of our personal trainers about what the Paxton Tennis & Fitness Club has to offer upon completing the full-year membership sign-up process.  This free orientation offer must be scheduled within the first 30 days of your new membership or it becomes invalid.  This includes an introduction to the machines, equipment, pool facility, and classes. Please schedule your appointments through the front desk.

Fitness Classes

We offer a variety of fitness & swim classes to suit beginner to advanced members.  All fitness & swim classes require sign up, which opens 48 hours prior to class.  Members can sign up by calling the front desk @ 508-755-8223.  *Registrants who fail to show up for a class that they have signed up for will be subject to a $10 no show fee.  No fee will be charged if the registrant calls to cancel their registrarion prior to class.

Class Descriptions

Core Concepts w/Sarah - Mondays 8-9am
No more boring sit-ups!  Imagining the core in a whole new way.  We will incorporate Pilates, Barre, functional stabilization, and controlled movement in this abs focused class.  By adding in glutes and arms it will make this a full-body, joint safe workout.

Zumba® Block Party w/Stacey - Mondays 5:30-6:15pm (On hold for summer after 6/20)
Rock out with Stacey & get your heart pumping in this fast paced class.  Modifications for all levels.

Daybreak Yoga w/Sarah - Tuesdays 8-9am
This class is a moving meditation incorporating postures, breath, balance, and stretching for the Body, Mind, & Energy.

Barre Essentials w/Tina - Tuesdays 5:30-6:30pm
”Barre Essentials” fuses the best of yoga, pilates, and elements of full body strength training exercises dancers do. Participants use their own body weight for resistance training and use small exercise balls, resistance bands and light hand weights as props to trim, tighten and tone their entire body with an emphasis on defining your glutes and legs. By using small, controlled movements, isometric holds and high repetition, you can develop a strong, long, and lean physique. This is a low impact class.

Strong Body Squad w/Michele - Thursdays 5:30-6:30pm (On hold for summer after 5/26)
Come join our squad in this 1 hour class that will torch calories and relieve stress with combination of HIIT, core, and strength training.  You will alternate between HIIT training using body weight during timed intervals with core and weighted exercise to help strengthen your body, reduce stress and build confidence.  All fitness levels welcome!

Fired Up w/Tina - Sundays 8-9am
Are you ready to get your heart and muscles fired up?!  This class combines bursts of cardio and strength training using various fitness equipment in a circuit format to give you an effective full body workout.  You will develop strength, endurance, balance, coordination, flexibility, power, and core stability.  Modification provided to accommodate all fitness levels.

Aqua Fitness and Silver Sneakers®

Surf's Up w/Wendy - Mondays & Wednesdays 10-11am
A higher intensity water workout for aerobic conditioning, muscle strength and dynamic movements in the water.  This class will energize you for the rest of your day!

Silver Sneakers® SPLASH! w/Wendy - Tuesdays and Thursdays 8:15-9:15am
This is our NEW Silver Sneakers® branded & certified class!  Make waves in this moderate pool workout using the resistance of the water to tone, find balance, improve cardio & keep joints safe!

Water Warriors w/Harriet - Fridays 10-11am
For the fitness enthusiast looking to challenge their balance, cardio, strength, and agility.  This powerful aqua class reduces impact on joints and uses the resistance of the water for a full body workout.

Kids Fitness Classes

4S - Strength, Speed, Skill, Stretch w/Sarah(Ages 10-12)- Mondays 3:30-4:30pm
Start with the basics!  This class will build a foundation for: appropriate weight-lifting, speed & agility drills, flexilbility, and games for friendly competition.  Our coaches prioritize proper movement mechanics to optimize safety and efficiency for all fitness levels. 

S.P.T.- Sport Performance Training w/Eric(Ages 13-15)- Tuesdays 3:30-4:30pm
Signing up for sports?  Want to improve your strength?  This class is an intermediate to advanced weight training class.  Training protocols will focus on all major muscle groups in a balanced manner while addressing form, alignment, technique, and safety starting with the foundation of weight training and progressing throughout the program.  This motivating class will be designed for each student's ability to gain personal improvements in a positive, supportive group training environment.

Personal Training

Not sure how or where to start? Contact the front desk to schedule time with one of our highly qualified, professional personal trainers for private and semi-private instruction.  We have a great staff of Personal Trainers that will help you design a work out plan perfect for your needs.  Please contact the front desk to arrange a consultation.  Our personal training rates are as follows (member/nonmember):

  • 1 Hour Session Private - $70/$85
  • 1 Hour Semi-Private - $90/$120
  • Prepaid 6 1 hour Private Sessions - $390/$480
  • Prepaid 6 1 hour Semi Private Sessions - $520
  • Student (*16 years & under): 1 hour $60/Prepaid(6 sessions)$330 - MEMBERS ONLY

We also offer Private Yoga and Pilates Instruction.  This can also be paid through the front desk.  Questions and inquiries regarding personal training can be forwarded to fitness@paxtontennisandfitness.com.
